Imagine a world where the enrollment process – from start to finish – is 100% online (with no need to use a fax machine). That world is now a reality with Connecture. Connecture is one our latest resources available to our agents to make their lives easier – and their business more successful.


What is Connecture?

Connecture is an online enrollment tool for Medicare Advantage, standalone Prescription Drug Plans, and MAPD plans. Connecture allows for a complete electronic enrollment process, including an email Scope of Appointment, quote, and electronic application. This tool allows you and your client to compare plans from multiple carriers at the same time. Best of all, Connecture is completely free for our agents to use.

How Do I Register for Connecture?

Registering for Connecture is a breeze. Head over to this page on our website to sign up for access. You will be required to input your name, contact information, and the carriers you would like access to in your Connecture portal. Please keep in mind: For compliance reasons, only the carriers that you are certified and ready-to-sell for will be available to view and enroll in your Connecture portal. Once you submit the registration request, your Connecture portal will be prepared in about one business week. Your personalized Connecture portal will have your information, the carriers you are appointed with, and your writing numbers for those respective carriers. Once your portal is ready to go, you will receive an email with your username and password from a member of our staff. Please note: Due to overwhelming amount of interest in Connecture, we are seeing minor delays in creating agent portals. Please contact us with any questions regarding this.


What Does a Connecture Enrollment Look Like?

Enrolling your client in Medicare plan through Connecture is a straightforward process. First, you will need to log into your Connecture portal. Here you can create a profile for your client, including: their name, zip code, date of birth, and email address.

Once you have created your client’s profile, you can send them an electronic Scope of Appointment (SoA) via email. Once you enter in your client’s email address and click “Send”, the SoA will pop up in your client’s email inbox almost instantly. Your client will then open the email, click on the “Complete” button, and fill out the SoA form electronically. Once completed, the client submits the form and it will appear in your Connecture portal.

When you have the SoA back from the client, you can move forward with the enrollment process. You will be asked a few basic questions about your client’s health and subsidy status. Then you will get the chance to input the prescription drugs that your client is currently taking. You will be able to input the type of medication and the dosage. This is crucial, as Connecture will be able to tell you if the plans in your portal cover your client’s prescriptions.

Once you have finished your client’s prescription list, you will be shown a list of available plans in your client’s area. You can filter by Medicare Advantage plans, standalone Prescription Drug Plans, and MAPD plans. You will be able to see the details of plans individually or compare plans side-by-side. Connecture will allow you to click a link to see if your client’s doctor and/or pharmacy is in a plan’s network. Instead of having to go to each carrier’s independent portal to discover plan information, Connecture bundles that info into one convenient location.

At this point, you will be able to send a quote to your client. You can choose to send a quote for one individual plan or multiple plans (up to three) side-by-side. When you send the quote from Connecture, you will also need to give an automatically generated password to your client via a separate email or over-the-phone. This will allow your client to gain access to the quote. Once your client has opened the quote and input that password, they will be able to see the same plan information that you saw earlier.

When your client has found the plan that fits their needs best, they can enroll quickly and easily. They will click “Enroll” on the plan that they like best. This will allow them to fill out a short online application. The client’s information that you input when you originally created his/her profile will automatically appear on the client’s enrollment form, saving them time. They will have to answer a few short questions and verify that all information submitted is correct. From here, they can submit the enrollment form to the carrier. That’s it!

When your client has completed and submitted their enrollment form, you will be able to verify that in your agent portal. You will then need to complete and submit the Scope of Appointment to the carrier. From here, your client’s application will be submitted to the correct carrier (with your agent info attached) and will be processed like any other application.
